This is my longest post ever, with 58 photos total.... just a quick warning. Yesterdays hike was by far the most beautiful place we have ever been. In the morning B pulled out our trusty adventure guide book, and we were not disappointed. We went to Brainard Lake Recreation Area and hiked up to Lake Isabelle, through forests of thick pine and flowering meadows. Traveling past mountain streams that transformed into a huge waterfall at the top. Lake Isabelle sits at about 10,850ft, after a nice 2.1mi hike. It's an easy trail, only rising in elevation a few hundred feet. I feel as though the photos dont do it any justice. This is one place we will definitely be taking friends and family to, as well as visiting often.... oh, and it's only 1.5hrs from our house!
This is just about our entire hike. ENJOY!!!
